Welcome to the Teddy Bears Room!
In the Teddy Bear Room there are 20 children aged from 4 to 5 years of age.
The room operates from 9am to 3pm each day during school terms. The educators plan and implement an age appropriate program using the Early Years Learning Framework http://deewr.gov.au/early-years-learning-framework as a guide. The program and routine enables children to learn in an environment that is safe, challenging and full of possibilities.
The educators encourage school readiness proficiencies such as name recognition and writing, cognitive abilities, fine and gross motor talents and self-help skills. Intentional teaching moments play a pivotal role in our daily program. The children are encouraged to use mathematical and scientific skills such as balance, direction, number, shape and force when taking part in learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
The educators respect and work with each child’s unique qualities and abilities. Individual, small and large group learning experiences enable the children to learn about their surrounding world and cover topics such as sustainability, health, music and drama.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Teddy Bear Room.
