PECC Philosophy

Parkes Early Childhood Centre

OUR  PHILOSOPHY

At Parkes Early Childhood Centre, we believe that childhood is a unique and valuable stage in the journey of life.  We walk hand in hand with families to empower children with the skills, knowledge and experiences needed to embrace the wider world.

As a Community Based / Not for Profit centre (where all funds are re-invested back into the PECC organisation) we are committed to

• Respecting and welcoming each family and individual

• Being inclusive of all family structures, ethnic, moral, cultural and religious backgrounds

• Valuing the unique contribution each individual makes to the fabric of the centre.

• The development and continuance of an inclusive, nurturing, safe and secure environment for all who use the centre.

• Providing quality provisions for the children.  These Provisions encompass interactions and relationships, routines or daily living experiences, opportunities and possibilities offered by the physical environment & the structure and flow of the day (NSW Curriculum Framework, p. 111).  These provisions are planned to promote development of the whole child as described in the NSW Curriculum Framework, p. 51-75).  The:
