Parkes Early Childhood Centre (PECC) is directed and motivated by the National Quality Framework (NQF) and all other legislation and guidelines supporting best practice in Early Childhood.

PECC is a community based/not for profit model of organisation, managed by a dedicated voluntary Committee comprising of parent and community representatives, where all funds are re-directed back into providing a high quality learning environment.

PECC is committed to collaborative partnerships between Community, Families, Educators and Children.

PECC is commited to the ongoing development of each individual’s leadership skills which inspires and empowers others.

PECC is committed to professional educational practice:

  • which reflects the authentic child;
  • which implements a purposeful and deliberate curriculum;
  • focusing on intentional play based teaching leading to life-long learning, and
  • where all children, whatever their circumstances, are truly equal partners, with equal opportunities and an equal stake in shaping the next chapter in the History of Australia (Educators Guide to the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia, p.3).
